I am experimenting with the new Cognio mobile spectrum analyzer. I wrote up some of the features over at the Wireless Weblog. This product is immensely cool and creates a lot of new possibilities for troubleshooting. Plus I'm surprised to see all of this functionality crammed into a single PCMCIA card running on a laptop (which does most of the work.) The "Swept Spectrogram" image helps you visualize the entire spectrum at a glance. Check out this shot of a microwave oven trouncing all over Wi-Fi Channel 6.
